MEET THE
HOUSE HUNTERS
Like many people, for a long time I wondered what I wanted to be when I grew up. And like many more, I got it wrong with several different jobs before finally getting it right with real estate. The detours were often fun and interesting, including stints as a journalist for NPR, GEEK magazine and various entertainment publications, which took me to Comic-Con and landed my byline in “The New York Times.” Other times, they were less fun, like those dreary 12 years I spent working in financial compliance.
It seems obvious to me now that real estate was my true calling and my biggest regret will be that I didn’t switch careers sooner. I also regret not becoming a homeowner sooner, as I truly believe homeownership is the best path toward financial security. When I did finally buy my little fixer in 2008, a foreclosure in Highland Park, I was a single woman with limited means up against a big bank that refused to negotiate. The entire experience was stressful and isolating, with tons of jargon I didn’t understand being thrown at me daily and the creeping suspicion that everyone involved was only interested in making money off me, my agent included. While lousy at the time, that experience helped shape my philosophy about the kind of real estate agent I promise my clients I will be: one who is patient, not pushy, puts their interests above everything else, is committed to excellence, and believes in total transparency.
It’s the promise I make to you as well, whether you’re looking to purchase your first home (and uneasy about the implications) or ready to sell and trade up. I promise to stay by your side every step of the way and do everything I can to ensure a stress-free experience. And as a native Angeleno (who attended both UCLA and USC — go, Brojans!), I know Los Angeles well and work all over the city, having lived in various neighborhoods over my 45+ years as an explorer and student of our beautiful city. I’m happy to answer any of your questions while addressing all of your real estate needs.
If this resonates with you and it feels right to connect, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to help.
San Fernando Valley native. California enthusiast. Home matchmaker. Occasional lasagna dealer.
Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley—and still proudly calling it home (with a little Palm Springs living sprinkled in)—Pauly David knows California. He knows the neighborhoods, the people, the quirks, the hidden gems, and, most importantly, what makes a place feel like home.
Pauly’s love of people and his passion for California eventually collided with something bigger: a desire to help people—especially communities that have historically been left out of the conversation—build generational wealth through real estate. After experiencing the power of real estate through his own investments, becoming a Realtor® felt like the natural next chapter.
With his fun, down-to-earth demeanor, he makes the process approachable, entertaining, and—dare we say it—actually fun. But don’t let the charm fool you. When it’s time to negotiate, Pauly is firm, strategic, and effective, fighting to make sure his clients get the best possible deal. Whether you’re searching for your first home, your next investment, a California getaway, or the place where your family’s next chapter begins, Pauly is ready to go the distance. Literally. He’s happy to travel throughout California, with particular expertise in the San Fernando Valley and Palm Springs.
And then there’s the lasagna.
Pauly is a home cook, so while there are no guarantees, it is entirely possible that your real
estate journey could end with keys in one hand and a delicious homemade lasagna in the other.
Real estate. California. Community. Generational wealth. And occasionally, carbs.
Born and raised in the heart of Los Angeles, I was personally familiar with all the major neighborhoods of Southern California – from Malibu to Pasadena. My passion for real estate started at a young age with an admiration and love of mid-century, craftsman and Spanish architecture, landscaping and design.
After studying design for a few years, I went on to earn my bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing when I lived abroad in Costa Rica managing my family’s wildlife refuge, Cerro Dantas, for 10 years. There, I perfected my Spanish and developed a solid network in Costa Rican real estate, conservation and tourism.
I have served as a manager and consultant for various types of businesses, nonprofits and startups, specializing in sales, negotiations and operations management. My move into real estate follows my wife’s decision to become a licensed Realtor in 2017 under the House Hunter L.A. brand. Together, we combine our experience in sales, marketing and compliance to give our clients exceptional service.
My focus is in detail and quality. I am meticulous and careful, treating my clients’ money as if it were my own. I am a dedicated and trustworthy Realtor, intent on offering my clients a home sale experience that is fun and transparent. In my time off, I am a devoted father and husband, striving to fill my family’s life with adventure, travel and laughter.

Born and raised in the City of Angels, Los Angeles is in my DNA! My lifelong connection to Southern California gives me an intimate understanding of the region’s diverse geography, demographics, socioeconomic dynamics, and unique microclimates—all knowledge that allows me to better serve my clients and help them make informed real estate decisions.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of selling real estate throughout California and working with clients from all walks of life. One of the most rewarding parts of what I do is witnessing the excitement on a first-time buyer’s face as they open the door to their new home for the very first time. Those moments are what make this career so fulfilling.
I am also proud to be a licensed REALTOR® and homeowner in the great state of Nevada. As more Angelenos make the move to Las Vegas, I am uniquely positioned to help clients navigate that transition. My goal in the Silver State is to provide the same top-notch service, market expertise, personal attention, and focus on detail that my Los Angeles clients have come to expect.
I am proud and privileged to be supported by and affiliated with two outstanding brokerages: House Hunter L.A. in Los Angeles and United Realty Group in Las Vegas.
